The Art of Being Human

Egypt · November 18–28, 2026

A 10-day journey into what it means to be human.

02 — The Invitation

What if you didn’t have to become anything?

What if you could simply arrive? With your light. Your shadow. Your questions. Your contradictions. Your pleasure. Your grief. Your laughter.

What if there was nothing to fix? Only something to experience.

An invitation to slow down, feel deeply and meet yourself exactly where you are.

03 — Why Egypt

Why Egypt?

Some places you visit. Some places you feel. Egypt is one of them.

Ancient. Alive. Contrasting. Impossible to explain completely.

Stone and water. Desert and sea. Past and present. We begin here.

04 — The Journey

Three days in the desert.

The world becomes quieter. We walk. We sleep in a cave. We gather around the fire.

We let the desert do what it does. Strip away what isn't necessary.

Nothing to prove. Nowhere to rush. Just here.

05 — The Desert Ceremony

And then, we go inward.

As the afternoon unfolds, we enter a carefully held desert ceremony. The vastness of the landscape. The silence. The setting sun.

Space for a deeper encounter with ourselves.

Nothing to force. Nothing to perform. Whatever is ready to be met, we meet.

06 — Integration

Return to the body.

At Malakot Mountain Oasis, we soften. We rebirth in the temazcal, the mother's womb.

Heat. Cold. Water. Flowers. Fire. Breath.

We let the experience settle. We integrate. We come back.

07 — The Red Sea

Then, the land disappears.

The Red Sea opens. We sail. We swim. We float. We laugh. We rest.

And somewhere between the water and the sky, time begins to disappear.

08 — The Full Moon

Full Moon

We gather for a Past Life Regression Ceremony, beneath the full moon. The full moon rises over the Red Sea as the sun begins to set.

A journey through memory, imagination, symbolism and the deeper landscapes of the self. We allow the moon, the sea and the night to hold the space.

Whatever arises is yours to explore. A story. An image. A feeling. A question. Or simply a sense of mystery.

We don’t need to explain everything. We simply listen.

09 — The Blue Lotus Ceremony

The following evening.

A Blue Lotus ceremony, inspired by ancient Egyptian symbolism.

The threshold between waking and dreaming. A quiet space for inner listening, imagination, and the mysteries of the night.

10 — The Final Sunset

And then, sunset.

Our last evening at sea. Cacao. Music. Fresh fruit. The last light.

And we dance. Not because we have somewhere to go. But because we are here. Alive. Together.

An exhale.

11 — The Experience

What it feels like to be there.

Space to breathe. Time in nature. Movement. Connection. Silence. Laughter. Deep conversations. Fire. Water. The unknown.

You don’t need to perform transformation. You simply need to arrive.

Moments of being held. Moments of letting go. Moments that cannot be planned.

12 — Who This Is For

For all of us.

All genders. All orientations. All identities. All ways of being.

There is no particular way you need to be to belong here. Come as you are.

Different stories. Different bodies. Different lives. One human circle.

We are all just being human.

13 — Meet Mehta & Trish

How this began

This is not something I invented. It is something I have lived.

A story about Egypt. Travel. The body. Movement. Connection. Women. Human. Culture. And the questions that keep bringing me deeper into what it means to be human.

Practical

The shape of the ten days

Dates
18–28 November 2026 · ten days
Arrive
Fly into Sharm el-Sheikh (SSH) on 18 November, no later than 11:00.
Depart
Fly home from Hurghada (HRG) on 28 November, from 16:00 onward.
Getting between them
One internal flight on 22 November, Sharm el-Sheikh to Hurghada, and on from there to the boat at Marsa Alam. Arranged as part of the journey — you do not book it yourself.

Book an open-jaw ticket, not a return

You arrive in one city and leave from another. Do not book a round trip to a single airport. Book a multi-city ticket into SSH and out of HRG, inside the times above.

Those times are firm. The retreat cannot arrange individual transfers or cover costs caused by a late arrival or an early departure.

Where you will be

  1. 18–21 Nov The Sinai desert. Walking, silence, sleeping in a cave, gathering at the fire.
  2. 21–22 Nov Malakot Oasis. One night. Temazcal, ice bath, flower bath, integration — the day the body catches up with the desert.
  3. 22–26 Nov The Red Sea, aboard MV Legends. You board at Marsa Alam and spend the first night at dock, then sail for Sataya at sunrise. Swimming, the full moon, and the dolphins.
  4. 26–28 Nov The crossing back to Hurghada. From the final sunset the boat turns for home — around thirty hours at sea, and the last of the journey to let it settle.

What is included

What is not included

Food

Vegetarian and vegan meals, cooked fresh by private chefs and served buffet style. Fresh catch of the day is also offered aboard the yacht.

Two main meals a day — brunch and dinner — with a mid-afternoon snack. Filtered water for your bottle and herbal teas throughout. This is a coffee-free container.

Allergies and intolerances must reach us well in advance so they can be accommodated.

What to bring

Clothing. Light, loose daywear you can move freely in. Warm layers, sweaters, socks, sleepwear and a jacket — the desert drops hard after sunset. White clothing for ceremony.

Water and sea. Swimwear and a quick-drying towel. Mask, snorkel and fins for swimming with the dolphins — freediving and apnea gear only, no scuba. A small dry bag, 10–15L, for boat transfers.

Feet and sun. Walking shoes or light hikers for the desert, plus sandals or water shoes. Reef-safe sunscreen, a wide-brim hat, sunglasses, and light scarves for sun and dust.

Toiletries. 100% natural and odourless, biodegradable and non-toxic — the ocean and the desert are the reason. Essential oils are welcome; synthetic perfumes are not. Any medication in its original packaging, and something natural for seasickness if you are prone to it.

Also. A yoga mat. A journal and pen. A refillable water bottle. A headlamp or torch, ideally with a red-light setting for night integration.

No phones

This is a complete no-phone journey. Devices are handed to the team at the start and returned on the final day, so you can stay entirely inside the experience.

You do not need to worry about capturing any of it. A photographer documents the whole container, underwater included, and everything is shared with you afterwards.

Travel insurance is mandatory

A significant part of this journey is aboard a private charter vessel more than 10km from shore. Your policy must cover offshore and marine travel at that distance, including emergency medical care and evacuation or repatriation from the vessel.

Cover must run for the whole retreat, and proof is required before departure. No insurance, no retreat — and the payment stays non-refundable.

You need the full Egyptian visa

The journey travels beyond the Sinai peninsula, so the Sinai-only exemption is not enough. You are responsible for holding the correct visa for the entire duration and itinerary.

The price

€4,444 per person · early bird

Available until 20 October 2026, payable in full at booking.

€5,888 from 21 October to 11 November. A 50% deposit of €2,944 holds your place, with the balance due by 4 November. Booked after 4 November, it is payable in full.

Your place is confirmed once payment has been received.

All payments are non-refundable. This is a small retreat, and accommodation, transport, the private charter and every venue are reserved for you specifically. If you cannot come you may pass your place to someone else, with written approval and all payments settled. If we cancel the retreat, everything paid to us is refunded in full — flights, visas and insurance booked separately are not ours to refund.
